Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your purchase!  However, we do understand that sometimes a purchase may not hit the mark for you.  We are a small e-commerce boutique housing a small quantity of each of our high quality items and the turn-around time for most of our pieces is short.  In order to keep our inventory fresh, we have a 14-day STORE CREDIT ONLY return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your apparel item to request a return.

We partner with Redo to provide a seamless return/exchange process for our customers.  We highly recommend that you purchase the Redo Free Return Shipping + Package Protection which covers your return label, should you need one, and protects your package from being lost, stolen, damaged, or shipped incorrectly.   A charge of $1.98 is automatically added to every cart upon checkout with the option to remove it. 

Please Note: If you choose to remove the Redo Free Return Shipping + Package Protection, your package will not have shipping protection.  The charge cannot be removed once you have completed your order.

To be eligible for a return, your apparel item must be in the same condition as when you received it, meaning unworn or unused, free of stains or odors, with tags, and in its original packaging.  

If submitting a return for STORE CREDIT within our platform, your return will be processed and you will be issued a credit in the form of a gift card for use in our store at any time in the future.  Store credits have no expiration date. 

If submitting a return for an instant EXCHANGE within our platform, your credit for any returned items will automatically apply within the exchange. An exchange for an item of lesser value will result in a remaining store credit being issued.  An exchange for an item of higher value will result in a balance being owed. You will be asked to provide payment information as a security measure.  A $1 hold will be placed on your credit or debit card that will be removed once the return items have been received by our warehouse.  

You will have 3 days from the time of submitting your exchange to get your return item(s) in the mail to us using the return label provided in Redo. Failure to ship your returns back within the 3 day timeframe will result in a charge to your given payment method for the newly exchanged item(s). 

Any return requests processed outside of our Redo customer portal will incur return shipping charges as a deduction to the value of the items being returned.  Shipping charges on the initial order are non-refundable. 

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for SALE items, items from our Personal & Self-Care collection, or gift cards.

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if ANY item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right for you.  If you do not wish to have a replacement sent to you or one is not available, a STORE CREDIT will be issued.  Please Note: In the event of a damaged item, or discrepancy on our part, Arete will cover any and all return shipping costs.
